Discounty adjusts both the product price and compare-at price in general discount campaigns, which can make it difficult to prevent stacking. However, by using amount off product discounts with specific configurations in Shopify rather than amount off order discounts, you can bypass this issue. The solution is to create an automatic collection in Shopify, which only includes products not on sale, and then apply a discount to that collection.
Step 1: Create an Automatic Collection
In your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.
Click Create Collection.
Select Automated as the collection type.
Set a condition that includes products where Compare-at price is empty. This will target only products without a compare-at price.
Save your collection.
Step 2: Create a Product Discount for the Collection
In your Shopify admin, go to Discounts > Create Discount.
Choose Amount Off Product Discount.
Select the collection you just created (the one where products don’t have a compare-at price).
Set your discount details (e.g., percentage or fixed amount).
Save the discount.
By following these steps, you can prevent Shopify discount codes from overlapping with your Discounty general discount campaigns. Since Discounty adds a compare-at price to discounted products, your Shopify discount codes will only apply to products in the custom collection, which excludes items already affected by Discounty discounts.
