Minimum Value discount campaigns let you reward customers who spend more. You define discount tiers based on the cart subtotal value, encouraging shoppers to add more to their order to unlock better deals.
This guide walks you through setting up this campaign type step by step.
1. Set your campaign name
Give your campaign an internal name like “Spend More, Save More – €10 off €50+” to help track it in your dashboard.
2. Define your discount tiers
In the Discount section:
Select your discount type:
Percentage (e.g. 15% off)
Fixed amount (e.g. €10 off)
New price (e.g. each item for €25)
Set the minimum cart value required for each discount to apply.
Click Add discount tier to define multiple levels (e.g. €50+ = €10 off, €100+ = €25 off)
These thresholds apply only to products selected in this campaign.
3. Choose whether to apply the discount once or per item (for fixed amount only)
If you're using a fixed discount, you’ll see an option for how the discount should apply:
Apply "fixed amount" discount only once per order, which indicates that a single fixed discount is applied to the cart when the quantity threshold is met.
If not selected, the fixed discount is applied to every item that qualifies.
Use this setting to align the discount with your intended promotion style.
4. Set product match conditions
Under Discount conditions, choose how cart value is calculated:
Mix of products – Customers can reach the minimum by combining different products from the campaign.
Same product – The minimum must be reached with a single product type.
Choose the option that best fits your promotion goals—whether combining different products or encouraging bulk purchase of one item.
5. Choose included and excluded products
In the Products and Excludes sections:
Use filters like Collections, Product tags, Vendors, Product types, All store, or manually select products/variants.
Optionally, enable Auto-update so Discounty adjusts the product list as your based on the changes on your store.
Only selected products will count toward the minimum cart value and receive discounts.
6. Enable campaign combinations (optional)
You can allow this campaign to stack with Discounty Price Rule campaigns (which update product pricing at the storefront level).
Minimum Value and Minimum Quantity campaigns cannot be combined with each other at this time.
If you don’t want this campaign to overlap with any other discount, leave the setting off.
7. Schedule your campaign (optional)
Set a specific start and end time for your campaign:
Choose a Start date and time.
Optionally add an End date and time.
Enable countdown timers to create urgency and boost conversions.
This is especially helpful for limited-time promotions or seasonal sales.
8. Preview your campaign logic
Use the live preview panel to test your configuration:
View how discount tiers apply based on the cart subtotal.
Add multiple items in the preview cart to confirm correct discount application.
Double-check settings before activating the campaign.
This helps ensure customers see and receive the right discount based on your logic.
By following these steps, you can create an effective Minimum Value discount that boosts average order value and encourages customers to spend more. If you need assistance customizing the campaign or widget, contact our support team from within the app.
