With this campaign type, you can set different discount tiers based on the number of items a customer adds to their cart.

This article walks you through the steps to set up a quantity/volume discount campaign with Discounty.

Check this article for general steps of creating a campaign. In current article, we will focus on the configurations specifically related to 'Quantity & volume discount sale' campaigns.

1. Choose Your Discount Option

Start by selecting the discount type that suits your campaign goals:

  • Mix of Products:
Choose this option if you want to offer a discount when customers add different products from your campaign to their cart. Ideal for promoting purchases of various products together.

  • Same Product:
Choose this option if you want to offer a discount when multiple quantities of the same product are added to the cart. Perfect for bulk purchasing of a single product.

2. Set Tiered Discounts

Now define the type of discount and specify the discount details and set the minimum quantity that must be added to the cart for the discount to be applied.

Remember that in both options(discount and minimum quantity), only applies to the campaign's selected products.

  • Determine Tiers: Specify the minimum quantity of items needed for each discount tier.

  • Assign Discounts: Set the discount value for each tier (percentage, fixed amount, or new price).

  • Incentivize Higher Tiers: Offer larger discounts for higher tiers to encourage customers to purchase more items.

Note: The discount and minimum quantity only apply to the selected products in your campaign.

3. Select whether to apply the discount once or not (for fixed discounts only)

Choose whether the discount applies once per order or once per item:

  • Enable the Option: Apply the fixed discount only once per order (applies to the total cart value).

  • Disable the Option: Apply the fixed discount to each eligible item in the cart.

This option allows you to customize your discount strategy to align with your business goals.

4. Check the preview of your campaign on the product pages and the cart page.

Before going live, review and test your campaign to ensure it works as expected:

  • Product Page Preview:
Check the preview on the right side of the panel to see how your campaign appears on product and cart pages. Ensure discounts display correctly based on your tier structure and minimum quantity requirements.

  • Cart Page Preview:
Add different quantities of items to the cart in the preview section to confirm the correct application of discounts based on your campaign settings.
