With this campaign type, you can set different discount tiers based on the number of items a customer adds to their cart. In this article, you'll learn how to set up a quantity/volume discount sale campaign with Discounty.

Check this article for general steps of creating a campaign. In current article, we will focus on the configurations specifically related to 'Quantity & volume discount sale' campaigns.

1. Choose the discount option that best suits your campaign

At the start, you need to decide the type of discount you want to offer

  • Mix of Products :

Select this option if you want to provide a discount when different products from your campaign are added to the cart.

This is useful for promotions where you want to encourage the purchase of various products together.

  • Same Product :

Select this option if you want to provide a discount when multiple quantities of the same product are added to the cart.

This is useful for promotions where you want to encourage bulk purchasing of a single product.

2. Set tier discounts.

Now define the type of discount and specify the discount details and set the minimum quantity that must be added to the cart for the discount to be applied.

  1. Determine Tiers: Specify the minimum quantity of items required for each discount tier.

  2. Assign Discounts: For each tier, set a discount value as a percentage, a fixed amount, or a new price.

  3. Incentivize Higher Tiers: Offer more significant discounts for higher tiers to encourage customers to buy more items.

Remember that in both options(discount and minimum quantity), only applies to the campaign's selected products.

3. Select whether to apply the discount once or not (for fixed discounts only).

Lastly, decide whether the discount should be applied once per order or once per item.

By carefully considering whether to enable or disable this option, you can tailor your discount strategy to better meet your business goals and customer expectations.

  • Enable the Option: This will apply the fixed amount discount only once to the entire order.

  • Disable the Option: If you want the fixed amount discount to be applied to each eligible item in the cart.

4. Check the preview of your campaign on the product pages and the cart page.

Before launching your quantity & volume discount sale campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Review the product page preview:

    - Check the preview on the right side of the panel to see how the campaign will appear on your product pages and the cart page.

    - Ensure the discounts are accurately displayed based on the minimum requirements and tier structure you’ve set.

  2. Test the campaign in cart preview:

    - Add different quantities of items to the cart in the preview section.

    - Verify that the discounts are applied correctly according to the campaign settings.

Make sure everything is correct before going live to provide a smooth shopping experience for your customers.
